Through the Community Resilience and Livelihood Project (CRLP), funded by the United Nations Office for Project Services (UNOPS), DACAAR is creating livelihood opportunities for vulnerable communities through Cash for Work activities in Nangarhar, Laghman, and Nuristan provinces.

In this video, Fazal Rehman, a project participant, shares his appreciation to DACAAR and UNOPS for providing employment opportunities through the construction of a 7-metre-high dam. Earning AFN 700 per day has provided workers with much-needed income. However, for Fazal Rehman and his fellow community members, the work means much more than earning wages. They see themselves as building their own homes and securing their community's future, with a strong sense of ownership and responsibility for the infrastructure that will directly benefit them.
