Position Description: |
The Deputy Operations Manager reports to the Operations Manager and shall be responsible for the smooth running of field projects to ensure qualitative and quantitative implementation of the relevant projects at the field level. The Operations sub-department is charged with the oversight of all regional and Field Offices as well as the implementation of the CRLP, NRM, SSED, WASH, and Women’s Empowerment Projects as standalone projects. The Deputy Operations Manager will undertake regular oversight of DACAAR regional offices (Central, East and South) and relevant field offices to ensure that projects are implemented in accordance with the plan, implementation methodology, and donor requirements. The Deputy Operations Manager will also visit the relevant Regional and Field Offices for ensuring that Administrative, Logistical Financial, and HR services in support of project implementation are provided in compliance with the organization’s established policies and procedures. The Deputy Operations Manager plays a vital coordinating role in ensuring that the different sub-departments in the Programme, as well as relevant Regional offices, provide on-time technical supports and services to the field offices. The Deputy Operations Manager ensures that all security protocols and regulations at the relevant Regional and Field level are in place and adhered to. |
Responsibilities: |

Education: Bachelor degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or Water Resource Management is required. Master degree in Project Management or Environmental Sciences and PMP certification are preferred |
Experience: Minimum of Seven (7) years of progressive experience in WASH-related projects, preferably with INGOs, UN agencies, or humanitarian organizations is required. |

Languages: Oral & Written fluency in English, Pashto and Dari is required. |
